Diana Rubiano Vargas, civil engineer with a degree in geotechnical engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. I worked for several years in the Colombian Geological Service where I was deputy director of the Geoenvironmental Threats area. Subsequently, he was in charge of the Emergency Prevention and Attention Department of the Mayor's Office of Bogotá (Colombia). He has extensive experience in risk and disaster management. Currently, he is a senior specialist in Disaster Risk Management at the World Bank in Washington where he works in several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
